Link and Navi had been travelling through Hylia Field for hours, and both were feeling a bit bored. Link was determined to make the most of their journey by spending some quality time with his companion. He suggested that they take a break, and Navi agreed.

They found a spot near Lake Hylia and decided to rest for a while. Link took off his shield and sword, so they could sit down and talk. They talked about their travels together so far, such as the monsters they had faced and the places they had seen.

After talking for awhile, both felt like they needed something more engaging to do than just sit around. Navi suggested that they start skipping stones at Lake Hylia. Link thought this sounded like a great idea, so he grabbed some stones from the shoreline and handed them to Navi before taking some himself.

Link showed Navi how to throw the stones properly in order to make them skip across the surface of the lake. At first she didn’t have much luck, but after a few tries she figured out how it worked. Soon enough, both of them were happily skipping stones across the lake, cheering each other on every time one of them managed to skip more than three times in a row.

When it started getting dark outside, it was time for Link and Navi to head back onto their journey together. But on their way back through Hylia Field, both were content that in this one moment in time spent together – throwing stones at Lake Hylia – there had been no conflict or boredom; only mutual joy from bonding with each other during their travels.

As he grew older, Link began to yearn for something more than the lost woods. He wanted to see the world and have adventures like his parents. One day, he took a brave step and left the safety of the woods. Or so he thought…
