Link had always been a bit of an outsider. He was a Hylian, and not part of the Zora tribe that resided in Zora’s Domain. But he had always been welcomed in the Domain, and had even become friends with Princess Ruto, the Zora Princess.
Now, he had been given a quest by King Zora himself. The King wanted Link to catch a fish from the Domain and give it to the Princess as a gift. Link was happy to do this, but he quickly realized that it wouldn’t be as easy as he thought.
The Zora were a water-based people, and their customs dictated that anyone who wanted to catch a fish from their domain must first swim out to where the fish were. This was no problem for the Zora, but for Link it was a different story.
He didn’t know how to swim, and the water was very cold. But he was determined to complete his quest. He couldn’t fail the King or the Princess.
Link tried several times to swim out to where the fish were, but each time he failed and had to be pulled back to shore by one of the Zora. He was starting to lose hope, but he refused to give up.
Finally, on his last try, Link’s luck changed. He found a chest floating behind the waterfall, and in that chest was Zora clothes inside! These clothes would help him stay warm in the water and would make it easier for him to swim.
With new determination, Link put on the clothes and swam out to where the fish were swimming. He was finally able to catch one, and he triumphantly brought it back to shore.
King Zora and Princess Ruto were both pleased with Link’s success, and they thanked him for his help. Link was happy to have been able to help his friends, and he knew that this was only the beginning of his adventures in Zora’s Domain.
