It was a beautiful day on Lon Lon Ranch. Link was out and about, getting some milk for the Princess Zelda. But then he heard someone in distress. It was Malon, one of the ranch hands.
Her Cucco had fallen down the well and she was desperately trying to get it back. Link didn’t hesitate to help. He repaired the water lift with a few Deku sticks and they were able to lower the water bucket to save the Cucco. Malon was so grateful.
She gave Link a big hug and promised to never forget his act of kindness. She also introduced herself, and to her father, Talon. They were so happy to finally meet the person who had saved their Cucco. They all enjoyed a glass of milk together and had a good laugh about the whole incident. From then on, Link was a regular visitor at Lon Lon Ranch.
As a thank you, she gave him a bottle of Lon Lon Ranch’s famous milk. Link was so happy, he knew Zelda would love it. He skipped all the way back to Hyrule Castle, eager to give her the delicious milk.
